Mayor plans for a festival a month in Poulsbo

March 16th, 2011 at Wed, 16th, 2011 at 11:36 am by Jennifer Morris

A festival a month in Poulsbo? Could it happen?

Mayor Becky Erickson thinks so; she’s working to establish a community event for every month of the year in 2012. Those could include a winter fest in January and a St. Patrick’s Day parade in March.

The events would join those already marked as holidays in North Kitsap, which include May’s Viking Fest, Third of July, August’s Street Dance and December’s Julefest and host of other holiday celebrations.

What would you like to see established as new tradition in Little Norway? A springtime scavenger hunt? A Thanksgiving 5k? Leave your ideas below.  JM
